Lisa Sabin-Wilson is a creative designer and the owner of E.Webscapes Design Studio where she, and her team of talented designers and developers, provide custom solutions for web site owners using different content management platforms such as WordPress, Movable Type, Expression Engine and TypePad, to name a few. Lisa also owns and operates a specialized web hosting company at BA Hosting, where she provides supported web hosting services with an emphasis on blogs and bloggers, servicing the unique needs of this dynamic demographic.
Lisa wrote the official WordPress For Dummies book, the 1st edition originally published in 2007, with the 2nd edition, published in 2009, and is currently available on Amazon.com and your local bookstores. I also wrote BuddyPress For Dummies (due out Feb. 2010) which covers that great suite of WordPress plugins called BuddyPress that you can use to turn your existing WordPress powered site into a full blown social community and network on your own domain.
Lisa speaks frequently at conferences nationally, like SXSW Interactive and various national WordCamp conferences, on the topic of blogging, WordPress and social media.
When Lisa is not designing great websites, or writing books about WordPress, blogging and design – you can usually find her scuba diving 100ft below the water or downhill skiing up high atop a mountain.. or just relaxing with her family, enjoying a good cup of espresso and a good book or movie.
